On the 15th day of the month of Tishrei—right in the heart of autumn!—Jews begin celebrating Sukkot.

The celebration lasts an entire week, during which it is customary to dwell in a temporary structure resembling a hut (“sukkah”), to socialise, sing, dance, and, of course, to feast and share meals with others: delicious, abundant, and joyful.
