Israeli classics:

  • large dates without pits - 10 pcs
  • sour apple, peeled and cored - 1 pc
  • walnuts - 100 g
  • hazelnuts - 50 g
  • sweet wine - 0.25 l
  • date honey - 4 tbsp
  • cinnamon and ground cloves to taste

Ashkenazi recipe

  • finely chopped apples - 1/2 cup
  • grated almonds or walnuts - 1/4 cup
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • sweet red wine to taste and to bring to the desired consistency

Sephardic recipe:

  • dried figs - 6 pcs
  • pitted dates - 6 pcs
  • apples - 2 pcs
  • raw almonds, coarsely chopped - 1/3 cup
  • walnuts, coarsely chopped - 1/2 cup
  • freshly grated ginger - 1 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • honey - 1 tbsp
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • sweet red wine - 5 tbsp

Persian recipe:

  • raisins, washed and dried - 150 g
  • pitted dates - 150 g
  • pistachios, dried in the oven - 100 g
  • walnuts - 100 g
  • almonds - 100 g
  • apple - 1 pc.
  • pear - 1 piece
  • banana - 1 piece
  • pomegranate juice - 3/4 cup
  • nutmeg (to taste) - 1/2-1 tsp
  • for the fearless: black pepper, vinegar, or white wine to taste

Yemeni recipe:

  • figs - 170 g
  • dried apricots - 170 g
  • pitted dates - 110 g
  • roasted walnuts - 110 g
  • sweet red wine - 1/4 cup
  • cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
  • cayenne pepper -1/4 tsp
  • ground ginger - 1/4 tsp

  • soft Israeli dates, pitted - 150 g
  • fresh walnuts - 100 g
  • pecans - 100 g
  • pistachios - 100 g

  • ground ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • ground cloves 1/4 tsp
  • sweet sherry to taste and to bring to the desired consistency, or red wine, or concentrated pomegranate juice
